  • LISCAD SEE version 12.2 and later

Overview

Main Roads and Landgate Western Australia have made available the parameters for projections associated with project grids used in the state of Western Australia. Using the parameters provided, we have created a special projection file that contains all of these project grids. This will save users from having to manually create the projections they need themselves.

This special projection file can be used instead of the standard Projection.dat file that is installed with LISCAD. This article describes the procedure to use this Western Australian specific projection file with LISCAD.

Procedure

The special Western Australia projection file can be downloaded here ProjectionWA.dat and must be stored in the LISCAD User Language Folder. The default location of this folder is: C:\ProgramData\LISCAD\Release\uk\

To use the project grids contained in the special Western Australia projection file:

  1. Close LISCAD S.E.E. if it is running
  2. In File Explorer, navigate to the folder C:\ProgramData\LISCAD\Release\uk\
  3. Rename the file Projection.dat to ProjectionOrig.dat
  4. Rename the file ProjectionWA.dat to Projection.dat

Now when you run LISCAD S.E.E. and create a new job, the Western Australia project grids are available for selection.

To return to the original projection file, simply reverse the procedure:

  1. Close LISCAD S.E.E. if it is running
  2. In File Explorer, navigate to the folder C:\ProgramData\LISCAD\Release\uk\
  3. Rename the file Projection.dat to ProjectionWA.dat
  4. Rename the file ProjectionOrig.dat to Projection.dat
