LISTECH Enhances LISCAD for 2022 Release
LISCAD 2022 is now available.
We are pleased to announce the 2022 release of our LISCAD Surveying and Engineering software. This latest release includes numerous features, improvements and engineering fixes that make LISCAD even better. Some of these enhancements include:
Group Set Selection
A Group Set selection control can now be added your toolbar to allow for the fast switching of Group Sets. The new control can save you a great deal of time if you are frequently changing the selected Group Set. This makes it much easier to display the required Groups when generating different outputs from your S.E.E. data, like those typically required during many land subdivision projects.
Insert Points Within Range
This command has been enhanced to include an offset range when searching for points to be inserted into a line, as well as options to either move the point to the line, or line to the point. These improvements are useful for rapidly inserting multiple points into lines, even if the points are slightly off the line. This is ideal for many applications such as subdivisions, feature surveys and as constructed surveys.
Alignment Centreline Report
The Alignment Centreline report has been enhanced to include an option to allow the grade between subsequent points in the alignment centreline to be included in the output. The addition of this new option has been frequently requested because the grade is considered very important for alignment centrelines in many civil engineering scenarios such as pipelines, roads, and rail projects.
Import Text File into Code Table
You can now import ASCII text files (e.g. csv) into a Code Table as a means of adding new codes or to create a new Code Table. You can select which attributes of the codes are to be imported for Points, Lines and Polygons. This new feature will benefit users who want to bring in codes from other software without the need to manually enter them. This allows greater flexibility in data exchange from other sources.
Merge File Enhancements
The Merge command has been enhanced to allow the addition of a prefix or suffix to the group names being merged into your S.E.E. project file. This feature enables objects from different jobs, field parties, or day’s work to be easily identified or isolated by their Group name. This is ideal for scenarios like joint surveys where you want to maintain separation of merged data in your S.E.E. project file.
Move/Copy Points by Mirror
This new command enables you to move or copy points by mirroring them against a selected reference line. Computing mirrored points is often complex and prone to error, particularly when the mirroring reference line is not along a cardinal direction, whereas this new command will make you very efficient when creating complex mirrored objects like those often found in building construction projects.
Export Leica DBX to Folder
We have enhanced our Leica DBX exports so they now include an option to output the DBX files to a subfolder that is automatically assigned the name of the job. This works in well with the current Leica instruments because it replicates the folder system automatically created by the Leica Captivate and SmartWorx software, while also making it easier to transfer DBX jobs by only having to copy a single folder.
Support for New Zealand CSR 2021
The Landonline exports included in S.E.E. have been updated to reflect the changes to the New Zealand Cadastral Survey Rules 2021. These updates include all required modifications to the existing LandXML mappings used by Landonline. This enhancement will enable you to efficiently lodge your CSD with Land Information New Zealand in the latest format without the need for any manual editing.
Point Comparison Report to CSV
The Point Comparison report now has an option to specify the output to be as a comma delimited file. This enables you to create flexible report outputs in different formats, with the ability to readily compare design and as constructed data. The new CSV output option allows for a much easier import of the data into spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel, which can be used for further analysis of the data.
Examine Dialogs Now Resizable
The Examine Attribute dialogs have been enhanced so that they can be now be resized horizontally. This will enable you to optionally resize the dialog so you can see the full Group name if it is too long for the current width. This new feature will make it much easier to examine the attributes you wish to see without the values being truncated.
Dashed Underline Text in CAD
Text objects in CAD can now be underlined with either a continuous or dashed line. This enhancement provides even more flexibility when comes to the presentation of text on your plans. Dashed underlined text can be used to signify a particular state of a value on a plan and is in fact a requirement in some jurisdictions when placing certain text on cadastral survey plans that are to be lodged with the local land authority.
