December 2024 Release of LISTECH Neo

LISTECH Neo latest release is now available.

We are pleased to announce the December 2024 release of LISTECH Neo, the next generation surveying, engineering, and geospatial software. This release includes numerous new features, improvements to existing functionality, and engineering fixes to make Neo even better. Some of these improvements include:

  • Added the Create Image by Geotag Location tool to place images using the GPS coordinate stored with the image
  • Added the Modify Grade tool to regrade lines
  • Added the Point by Chainage and Offset tool
  • Added support for named model views
  • Added support for saving reports inside the project
  • Added support for importing and exporting GPS Exchange Format (GPX) files
  • Added support for creating various kinds of text for alignments
  • Added support for alignments in text rules
  • Added support for reading HEIC images
  • Added the ability to export images
  • Added the ability to add sub-commands for the create, modify, find and examine tools to the ribbon
  • Added the ability to set the zoom level for drawings views to enable viewing at actual size
  • Added the ability to change the current distance and direction types via the status bar
  • Added the ability to edit drawing templates
  • Added the ability to rename colour bands
  • Added the ability to create lines parallel to alignments
  • Added the ability to import project attributes from another project
  • Added the alignment name to the alignment label display option
  • Added the Attribute Report for alignments
  • Added the Linear Object Bearing and Distance report
  • Added an option to the Create Polygons by Terrain Model Colour Bands tool to create simple polygons for use when creating complex polygons would fail
  • Enhanced the Escape key to abort creation, revert to select mode or clear the selection depending on the current action being performed
  • Enhanced the Create Point by Object Intersection command to insert into lines and break them
  • Enhanced the Modify Insert Vertex command to allow freehand insertion
  • Enhanced the Examine Clearance tool to visualise the clearance
  • Enhanced the Examine Terrain Model Height command to show the grade
  • Enhanced the Query tool to support block definitions
  • Enhanced the creation of parallel lines to preserve 2D arcs
  • Enhanced the Attributes tool to:
    • Show inverts/obverts for pipes
    • Show both grid and geographic coordinates when on a projection
  • Enhanced the AutoCAD DWG/DXF exports to:
    • Optionally override default heights with a defined value
    • Optionally convert polylines to lines
    • Support complex line styles and hatches
    • Support annotative scaling for objects with plan units
    • Define how 3D arcs are exported
    • Changed default export to 2D
  • Enhanced the GENIO export to support both fixed and scientific notations
  • Enhanced the Leica DBX export to support alignments
  • Enhanced the IFC import and export to support alignments
  • Enhanced the A-Spec export to report pits that don't have an US IL and to allow the user to override the computed Depth
  • Enhanced the Alignment Conformance Report with additional columns and statistics
  • Enhanced the Line Attributes report to show the total length of all lines
  • Enhanced the Compare reports with additional statistics
  • Disabled all controls in tools when the required module is not on the licence
  • Improved the round tripping of colours to Leica Captivate
  • Improved the matching of geoid models and the behaviour when a geoid file could not be found
  • Replaced the Modify Line/Pipe/Cylinder command with Modify Convert which also has the ability to convert between 2D and 3D arcs
  • Replaced the Line and Polygon Segments report with the Linear Object Vertices report which also supports alignments and pipes
  • Moved the Modify Spline/Straight command to Modify Convert
  • Changed the Compare Points, Compare Points to Lines, Compare Points to Alignment, Compare Points to Vertices reports to have a consistent behaviour to the Compare Points to Terrain Models and Compare Points to Shapes reports

In addition, various other improvements and optimisations have been made throughout the system.

 

Getting the Neo December 2024 Release

Neo licences that are on LISTECH Cover or have a Leica Geosystems Customer Care Package (CCP) with an expiry date of December 1, 2024 or later, can download, install, and run this release via the downloads section of the LISTECH Neo product page.
